SEGFAULT
The Hook
You're a clean, deterministic 8-bit hero in a battlefield run by a fluid, predictive AI.
Your bullets travel in straight, geometric bounces. The AI enemies adapt to almost everything - except a perfectly rigid collision path. When the predictor can't resolve where your shot is going, the enemy crashes. The crashed body becomes a platform you can stand on.
Old-school physics weaponized to break next-gen certainty. Build temporary terrain mid-fight.
The Idea
SEGFAULT is the most direct expression of the studio thesis: retro logic versus modern AI. Terminal.exe runs that conflict at the systems-design layer. NOISE_FLOOR runs it at the social-deduction layer. SEGFAULT runs it at the physics-engine layer - your bullets obey rules from 1985, the enemies don't, and the collision physics is where you win the fight.
The Loop
- Move through procedurally hostile terrain.
- Fire rigid bounce weapons. Read the geometry. Predict the path the enemy AI can't.
- When a shot crashes the enemy, the corpse becomes a platform. Build the level you needed.
- Chain through collapsing terrain on shrinking timers.
- Survive escalating world modifiers and boss transitions where the enemy AI gets a new training pass mid-game.
Where You Can Play
- Web, Steam, mobile - all targets, single codebase.
- Status: in active development. Earliest of the three games. Waitlist open. Steam wishlist will follow once the vertical slice is shippable.
